DIY Guide: How to Replace Your Studds Top Case Lock

Keeping your luggage secure shouldn't be a headache. Follow these five steps to install your new six-lever tamper-proof lock.

1. Tools You’ll Need

Your new Studds Lock Set (includes lock and 2 keys).

A basic screwdriver (usually Phillips head).

Pliers (optional, for removing the retaining clip).

2. Remove the Old Lock

Open your Studds Top Case.

Locate the screw or metal retaining clip on the inside of the locking mechanism.

Carefully unscrew or slide the clip off.

Pull the old lock out from the front of the case.

3. Prepare the New 6-Lever Lock
